You will work directly with other members of our team and clients, building a relationship as a trusted tax specialist, advisor, and leader. You will collaborate daily, developing solutions to complex tax issues through research, use of cutting-edge technology, and consultation with other team members.
What the job entails:
- Prepare financial statements for the clients and follow the internal process and documentation procedures including:
o Downloading accounting transactions into QuickBooks
o Utilizing Microsoft OneNote for monthly, quarterly and annual checklists
o Adding final financial statements to the quarterly estimates folder each quarter
- Prepare financial statements to ensure accuracy and communicate in real time updates/review notes
- Update and monitor Salesforce with dates and tasks once done
- Record journal entries for investment income
- Assist with performing bill pay for clients
- Assist with other daily tasks such as managing airplane reservations, setting up safety deposit boxes, conducting insurance reviews, and coordinating jewelry and artwork management for clients
- Prepare other, ad-hoc client deliverables
- Manage vendor relationships, requests, and payments timely
- Ensure documents such as real estate reports, charitable letters, etc. are being properly organized and placed in the correct locations
- Assist with administrative client tasks including, but not limited to payroll, hiring, onboarding, and benefit setup for client employees
- Interact with clients upon approval from direct supervisor
- Maintain ownership of work products to ensure they have a polished appearance and are completed with the highest accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- CPA or actively pursuing a CPA designation
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Possess a professional demeanor and be a positive thinker
- Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation skills
- Experience with Financial Statements and Accounting
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- High level of accuracy and strong quantitative skills, along with the highest level of ethics, honesty and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management and organization skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Exhibit professionalism and maintain client confidentiality
- Results driven, self-starter who likes to take on new challenges
- Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team
Physical + Work Environment Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- When working remotely: quiet, undisturbed working space to preserve and maintain client confidentiality
